Circuit Breaker Testing Services (GIS & Switchgear)

High-Voltage Circuit Breaker Commissioning and Maintenance Testing (22kV – 115kV)

We provide testing and diagnostics for indoor and outdoor circuit breakers, covering Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) systems ranging from 22kV to 115kV. Our services are designed to support both commissioning and periodic maintenance, ensuring safe, fast, and reliable operation of critical circuit breakers.

Test Equipment Used

We use the Megger TM1760 Circuit Breaker Analyzer, a high-performance instrument capable of performing detailed mechanical and electrical diagnostics for all types of medium and high-voltage circuit breakers.

Scope of Services

1. Mechanical & Timing Tests

Close, Open, Close-Open (CO) Timing Test

Open-Close-Open (OCO) Sequence Test

Contact Travel Time & Bounce Detection

Pole Synchronization Time Measurement

Coil Current and Voltage Recording

2. Static and Dynamic Resistance Measurement (SRM & DRM)

Static Contact Resistance (per pole) using high-current injection (e.g., 100A)

Dynamic Resistance Measurement to analyze contact wear and performance

Detection of contact erosion and misalignment

3. Operating Time & Motion Analysis

Measurement of operating time for main and auxiliary contacts

Motion & Speed Curve Analysis for circuit breaker mechanisms
